Laurel Colless

Laurel Colless is a Head of Research Development, Sustainable Technologies for the Research Development Team at Virginia Tech in the National Capital Region.  Prior to joining Virginia Tech in May 2007, Colless was director of financial communications for Nokia, in Helsinki, Finland.  In 2003, working with corporate responsibility issue owners across the country, Colless pioneered and produced Nokia's first integrated sustainability report.

John Johansen

John A. Johansen is the Deputy Director of the Energy Efficiency Partnership and a member
of the Research and Development team at Virginia Tech in the National Capital Region. 
For 15 years, Mr. Johansen served as President of Adams Tate, Inc., a Washington, DC-based
merger & acquisition company with a focus on energy-related companies.  He is the author
of the guidebook How to Buy or Sell a Business.  Mr. Johansen is the founder of The Extra Mile,
a national monument in Washington, DC that honors private citizens who pioneered important
U.S. social movements.
